2. Trevor Lawrence, Jaguars

It is definitely a shock to see Trevor Lawrence anywhere but no. 1 on this list, but his play has been a bit inconsistent to start the 2023 season. Through four games, Lawrence sits 13th in the NFL with 943 passing yards. He has thrown just four touchdowns to two interceptions, and has used his legs a bit here and there, rushing for 101 yards.

Jacksonville's offense has been mediocre, as a whole, so far in 2023. Through Week 4, they are averaging only 20.0 points per game. One area Lawrence can get better in is when it comes to extending drives. The Jags' time of possession is toward the bottom half of the league (just over 28 minutes per game).

There is a lot of season left, and Lawrence's talent is the reason why he's still no. 2 on our list ahead of Richardson, who has been the more exciting player and has scored more touchdowns overall. If Richardson continues to ascend while Lawrence stays the same, we could be having a very different conversation in the near future about which quarterback is the better player. For now, we'll still give Lawrence the benefit of the doubt.
