Grading the Colts 2023 NFL Draft class after their rookie season

Adetomiwa Adebawore: C+
It is hard to gauge this fourth-round selection of Adetomiwa Adebawore given he did not play a ton, but he took advantage of the opportunities he was given. After the Grover Stewart suspension, this team needed some help at that defensive tackle spot, and Adebawore did just that.
He also made some contributions on special teams, which for a 289-pound defensive tackle, that is just a show of his ridiculous athleticism for the position he plays. He had a ton of raw talent coming out, and after a 4.49 forty-yard dash, at that weight he became a sleeper prospect for a lot of teams. At his weight, that is some very rare speed, and the Colts took their chance to get that on their defensive unit.
He ended up finishing the year with appearances in about half the year, with 1.5 sacks and four tackles for his first year in the NFL. There is plenty of work to do when it comes to Adebawore, but for a team that is very strong at the defensive line spot, to have a guy like him who is such a raw talent that needs development, he is in a perfect situation to succeed.
He is a player who was put in a situation where it was next-man-up, and he delivered as best he could for this team, so he is someone to look out for when it comes to the future of this defensive front. For a fourth-round talent, to be able to get the raw athleticism this player provides, a C+ seemed to fit given his limited time on the field, but he also had solid value for the position.
