Week 18 vs. Texans- L

The Houston Texans have been one of the more fun stories of this NFL season, and it all has to do with rookie signal-caller CJ Stroud. Stroud is having one of the best rookie quarterback seasons in the history of the National Football League, and has an outside chance to be the first MVP to win the award as a rookie since Jim Brown before the Super Bowl era.

That is a long shot, but it is still a possibility, and the future rivalry of Anthony Richardson against Stroud in quarterback duels for the foreseeable future is going to be quite fun to watch.

This game though could be crucial for these teams, depending on where the rest of the AFC is lined up, these two teams could have similar records heading into this game, and a head-to-head matchup could be the tiebreaker. The Colts took the last matchup 31-20, but that was before Stroud really got his legs under him.

However, based on how both teams have been playing the Texans are simply a better team right now, and the Colts season would most likely end here due to the play of Stroud. A 9-8 season would be something to be proud of given all the issues this team went through when it came to injuries. Steichen getting this full season about and having a winning record would be beyond impressive.

The Colts have the chance to put together a season to really be proud of despite everything they have been through, but we will see how it all plays out soon enough.

Colts record: 9-8
