Game-by-game predictions for the rest of the Colts season after the Bye Week
By John Makuch
Week 12 vs. Buccaneers- L
Coming off the bye week, some teams are sluggish, some are even better, but we will see how Shane Steichen handles this matchup against Tampa Bay. This seems like a game the Colts should win, with the Buccaneers fighting for their own division, and on paper, they appear to be the better team, but you are not going to beat every team you are better than on paper.
This Colts secondary will have their work cut out for them against Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and co. led by quarterback Baker Mayfield who is having a resurgence for the Bucs. That offense has been dynamic but has had its share of struggles so far in Tampa. It depends on which Buccaneers, and specifically which Mayfield shows up on that Sunday.
Depending on the result of this contest, the Colts could find themselves a game over .500 with two divisional games left to go, and they would need a couple of losses from Jacksonville to be in a position to control their own destiny for the postseason.
Tampa Bay will test this Colts' defense though, and offensively, there may be some struggle against this solid front they have down there. This is going to be a close one for sure, but the Buccaneers will be most likely coming off a loss to the 49ers and will need this to save their season. Indianapolis loses to a desperate Tampa Bay team, and they head on the road to Tennessee next.
Colts record: 5-6
