Currently searching for a new team, former Indianapolis Colts defensive end, Yannick Ngakoue recently hired a new agent.

With teams wrapping up mandatory minicamp, the NFL is entering the last dead spot of the offseason, the multi-week hiatus between the end of organized team activities and the start of training camp. Despite being this deep in the offseason, there are still several talented veterans that are available free agents.

Amongst the top available names is defensive end Yannick Ngakoue. Ngakoue most recently played with the Indianapolis Colts, and after his contract expired at the end of the 2022 season, the Colts elected to go in a different direction by signing Samson Ebukam. Since then, Ngakoue has just been lingering in free agency.

Recently, Ngakoue hired veteran agent Drew Rosenhaus to help him find his next team.

Ngakoue shouldn’t need much help finding a team considering what he’s done in the league. Despite playing on five teams in seven seasons, Ngakoue has been a consistently productive pass rusher. He’s recorded eight or more sacks in every season he’s played, and more than nine sacks in four of those seasons.

What Ngakoue likely needs help with from Rosenhaus is finding a team on his terms. Despite being able to produce for several different franchises, Ngakoue has been vocal about the fact that he’s looking for stability. He’s hoping to sign a multi-year contract somewhere that he can call home . Ideally, that team would also be a contender.

At only 28 years old, Ngakoue is still pretty young and he’s been productive since entering the league. While there are concerns about his ability as a run stopper, he’s certainly a quality starting defensive end that plenty of teams could use. Additionally, his ability to consistently get sacks is something that every team is hoping to have.
