The Indianapolis Colts released their schedule with a video of defensive tackles, DeForest Buckner and Grover Stewart, eating their way into memes.

Long gone are the days when the NFL just casually released their schedule. Now, the schedule release is an event. The second Thursday of May is now all about the schedule release. But, the way in which teams reveal the order of the games is now just as important as finding out the order of the games.

The schedule release has become like the Super Bowl for franchises’ content and social media teams. From anime, to AI, to hired actors, teams have started to find creative ways to unveil their schedule for each season, and Thursday was no different.

The Indianapolis Colts used two of their best players, and a bunch of food, to get the job done. In a nearly 10-minute video, defensive tackles DeForest Buckner and Grover Stewart ate the schedule. The two dominant defenders were given a food dish from each city of the team on their schedule. As they ate their ways from Week 1 to Week 18, they created some great memes along the way.

The video itself was good. Both DeForest Buckner and Grover Stewart have funny personalities, and that was on display as they ate the food, and guessed which opponent it represented. The memes that the video created was a bonus, and those memes will surely be used by Colts fans throughout the season.

The best meme-able moment, and the one that will likely be the most used, came when Buckner and Stewart were preparing to eat crab legs (Baltimore Ravens). Putting on their bibs, fans were quick to screenshot and say that this is how the defensive tackles would be feasting on opposing offenses.

Another good moment was when Buckner hit Stewart with a classic side eye. One fan used this as a reaction to the fact that the Colts don’t have any primetime games on the 2023 schedule.

Now that the schedule is out, Buckner and Stewart will hopefully transition from eating the schedule to dominating other teams. The two defensive tackles are two of the Colts best players and they are a huge part of the defense. Indy’s defense will need to play well this season for Indianapolis to win games on this schedule.
