Colts QB Anthony Richardson already has NFL world buzzing with unique game day outfit
On Sunday, when the Indianapolis Colts take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in a Week 1 matchup, rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson will be making his first official NFL start. Because of Richardson’s dynamic ability, everyone expects him to make a lot of viral highlight plays. However, Richardson already had the NFL world buzzing on Sunday before he even made it to the field.
Showing up to Lucas Oil Stadium, Richardson was sporting his Sunday best, with a twist. The rookie quarterback wore a light green suit with a white shirt, dark green bow tie, and sunglasses. But this wasn’t a traditional suit, it was a short suit, as the rookie took advantage of the Indianapolis summer weather.
Anthony Richardson arrives for Colts debut in short suit
The arrival footage made the rounds on social media and television, and Richardson was applauded for his swag. Hall of Fame receiver Randy Moss even said that Richardson looks like he’s ready to score three touchdowns with that outfit. That would be quite the debut.
Hopefully, Richardson’s first game will be as clean as his tunnel fit. It’s a tough matchup for the Colts, as they’re facing the defending AFC South champion Jacksonville Jaguars, the team that many people believe is undoubtedly the best team in the division. Additionally, Indy’s last Week 1 win came in 2013, so winning on Sunday might be tough.
But that’s why Anthony Richardson was brought to Indianapolis: to change things. He has looked good throughout training camp and the preseason, dazzling with his legs and his arm. He’s also established himself as a leader, being voted captain by his teammates. Sunday will be Richardson’s first real test. After acing his first game day fit, let’s hope he can do the same on the field against the Jaguars.
