Colts fans and players are loving this fan-made logo redesign
A recent fan-made redesign of the Indianapolis Colts logo has caught the attention of Indy’s fans and one of the team’s leading players.
The Indianapolis Colts are synonymous with the horseshoe. It has been the team’s main logo, or featured on the logo in some sense for the majority of the franchise’s existence. This site is literally called Horseshoe Heroes. However, that doesn’t mean that the idea of a new logo shouldn’t be floated.
Recently, Emily Morgan, a graphic designer who redesigns sports logos into really cool and modern looks, created a new logo idea for the Colts and shared it on social media. The video gathered a lot of traction on social media, and fans were loving this redesign. Indianapolis linebacker Zaire Franklin even took to Twitter to express his approval of this design.

Morgan kept a touch of the past by incorporating the horseshoe into the redesign, but also added the head of a horse between the horseshoe, and put the flames from the Indiana state flag on top of the horse’s head. So this redesign paid tribute to Indy’s past, the name of the team, and the home of the franchise. Also, it looks really cool.
Frankin expressed that with his tweet, and he also responded to another fan pointing out how cool it would be if Indianapolis had an alternate uniform that was gray. However, that likely won’t be happening anytime soon.
Unfortunately, the logo will probably never be used by the Colts either, at least not as the team’s official logo. Indianapolis has used alternate logos and jerseys before, but they are usually throwback uniforms, and inspired by previous eras for the Colts. It would be pretty cool, though, if Indianapolis incorporated this logo somehow, even if just for one game with an alternate uniform.
