Colts expected to bolster secondary in 2024 NFL Draft first-round pick odds

The Indianapolis Colts will enter next week's NFL Draft with the hope of finding the right players that will help push them over the edge and into next year's playoffs.

Barring any trades, the Colts will pick 15th overall next week. It may be hard to predict which players will be left for them to select from at that point of the first round, but we can try to guess which position it is they'll select.

Oddsmakers have released betting odds for which position all 32 teams will take with their first pick. Let's take a look at what they're projecting for the Colts.

What position will Colts select with first pick in NFL Draft?

The betting odds have cornerback set as the favorite for the Colts' to select with their first pick. At +115 odds, there's an implied probability of 46.5% they opt for that position at No. 15 overall. The Colts ranked 22nd in opponent yards per pass attempt last season, so addressing their secondary makes a ton of sense heading into next week's draft.

There will likely be a few options for them at that position when it's their turn to pick, including Terrion Arnold from Alabama, Quinyon Mitchell from Toledo, and Cooper DeJean from Iowa.

After cornerback, the next two likely options are wide receiver and tight end, both at +300. There have been some reports that if Georgia tight end, Brock Bowers, falls to the Colts at No. 15, they'll scoop him up to give Anthony Richardson another weapon for his sophomore season.

Offensive lineman and defensive lineman are possibilities as well, but at longer odds at +850 each.
