1. Drafting Anthony Richardson

What Indianapolis needed most this offseason was a quarterback— a young one, not another veteran that was on the wrong side of his peak. The Colts found what they were looking for with the fourth-overall pick in the 2023 Draft, selecting Anthony Richardson.

While Indy kept its plans private leading up to the draft, they explained after selecting Richardson that he was the team’s guy all along, detailing how Indy has been impressed with him since watching Richardson at a practice during his time at Florida back in the fall.

Now, Richardson gives Indy a young first-round quarterback with a lot of upside, something the franchise hasn’t had since they drafted Andrew Luck. The hope is that Richardson will be able to develop into the team’s franchise quarterback.

If he does, the Colts will have the chance to contend for Super Bowls for the next decade or so. Indianapolis already has several talented players on the roster. Add in a developed version of Richardson with his passing and running ability, and the Colts should be a problem for the NFL.
