Thursday is the start of the 2023 NFL Draft. Here are five bold predictions for the Indianapolis Colts, whose first pick is the fourth pick in the Draft.

The most exciting time of the year is about to arrive in this year's NFL Draft, and the Indianapolis Colts need some help for their roster. Many have Indy drafting a quarterback, but there is always a possibility of things changing in that department. Either way, this Colts front office may have to get bold after a weak season last year, and big things will have to change.

The best part about these NFL Drafts are the amount of scenarios that can pop up at a moments notice, and the entire board a team came into the draft with can be tossed out immediately.

So what can these bold scenarios be?

5. The Colts will trade down in the Draft this year

Assets are beyond important and hard to come by in the National Football League, and with there being a number of quarterbacks that can play up for grabs, these assets become a bit easier to come by. Look for the Atlanta Falcons or even a rival in the Tennessee Titans to potentially make a move here for an Anthony Richardson or even Will Levis.

Tanking may be on the horizon in 2024, but the prize at the end of next season is one of the best quarterback prospects to come out of the past decade in Caleb Williams.

If the Colts are bad next year, so be it, they have an opportunity to trade down, get assets, sign a veteran if they want to be competitive, and then have their pick of the litter at a much better quarterback class in 2024.

Also, depending on where some of these quarterbacks fall, trading down a few spots could still keep things open for some of these players to fall right in the lap of the Colts.
