1. Colts quarterback competition

The quarterback competition between Gardner Minshew and Anthony Richardson will undoubtedly be the biggest storyline for Indy’s training camp. It’s a storyline that will be monitored on a league level, because Richardson is a top pick.

Selected fourth-overall, everyone knows that the starting job will eventually belong to Richardson. Minshew knows that as well. But he’s a competitor, so he’ll be trying to help Richardson develop, but also doing enough so that he can start a few games. However, the outcome of the competition will likely all be determined by Richardson’s performance.

If Richardson isn't near ready to be thrown into a regular season NFL game, then Minshew will probably start, regardless of how he looks in camp. But, if Richardson looks like he’s prepared to handle what comes with starting an NFL game, he’ll likely be the Week 1 starter, regardless of how Minshew looks.

It’ll be interesting to track Anthony Richardson’s development, and see when he’ll make his first start.
