The Indianapolis Colts don't want Kenny Moore II anymore. Late last week, various reports surfaced that the team and the player had mutually agreed to see if a trade could work out with another team. Could that new team be a place where Moore has a reunion with former Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin?
The linebacker hopes so, at least based on what he posted on social media. After the update about Moore, Franklin posted a photo of him and Moore shaking hands on the field while both were playing for Indy. The message to fans was not missed.
General manager Chris Ballard already worked out one deal with the Green Bay Packers this offseason when he shipped Franklin to them. Why not work out another and give the slot corner to the Packers?

Green Bay could use a good slot corner, even if Moore will be 32 years old next season. Javon Bullard has improved in that role for the Packers, but the team could still use an upgrade at the spot. For one season, at least, Moore would be that upgrade, and Franklin knows it.
What could the Colts get back in return for Moore? That is the unknown. Green Bay, for instance, doesn't have a first-round pick (just as Indy doesn't), but has a selection in each of the rest of the rounds. The Packers have two seventh-round choices.
Most likely, due to Moore's age, Indianapolis would only get a Day 3 pick for Moore, and maybe not even one until the sixth round. He is good, but not a long-term option for any team. No one is going to give up high draft capital to acquire him.
Franklin doubled down on his support of Moore at a community event on Friday, telling a WISH news reporter that Moore is a "proven playmaker. More importantly, that's my brother. He's a role model for me. He taught me so much on the field (and) off the field. I just support him and care about him."
The above says nothing about Franklin wanting Moore to end up with the Packers, but it does speak volumes about the relationship between the former (and, potentially, future) teammates. Kenny Moore, if he has any real say in where he ends up, might be happy to rejoin the linebacker.
For the Green Bay Packers, at least they could be assured that if they make a move for Moore, the communication on the field won't be an issue, as Franklin and Moore played together for many years with the Indianapolis Colts. Indy fans hoping for a Day 2 pick in return for the cornerback might be hoping for too much, however.
