After another disappointing season, the Indianapolis Colts hope that they can fill their roster holes over the offseason so they can compete and make the playoffs in 2025. They own the 14th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and even draft analysts can't agree on what route the Colts should take with their first-round pick.
In the three mock drafts I looked at for this piece, the writers went in three different directions, proving just how up in the air this pick is. Let's see what the draft experts had in store for Indianapolis in these three mock drafts.
CBS Sports: Will Johnson, CB (Michigan)
Chris Trapasso of CBS Sports had the Colts addressing the defensive side of the ball with their first pick taking Will Johnson out of Michigan. The reason Trapasso liked this pick for Indy is that he believes Johnson has what it takes to match up well with Nico Collins of the Texans, who the Colts square off against twice a year.
Colts fans would definitely agree that cornerback is a pressing need for the team, and with Lou Anarumo taking over as defensive coordinator, giving him a talented player like Johnson right off the bat hopefully pays off.

NFL.com: Armand Membou, OT (Missouri)
Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com thinks the Colts will address the offensive side of the ball, and has them adding to their trenches in the form of an offensive tackle. Armand Membou is Jeremiah's pick for the Colts at 14th overall, citing that he can play right tackle, but could also slide in at right guard in Indianapolis.
The Colts have been fortunate to boast one of the better offensive lines in the league in recent years and, as this year's Super Bowl showed us, that shouldn't be taken for granted. Membou's versatility makes him an appealing option here.

Sports Illustrated: Tyler Warren, TE (Penn State)
Daniel Flick of Sports Illustrated linked the Colts with Penn State's Tyler Warren, pointing out how little production Indianapolis got from its tight ends last year. "None of Indianapolis’s tight ends reached 15 catches or compiled 200 yards in 2024. Warren hit both marks in one game alone, catching 17 passes for 224 yards in a win over USC on Oct. 12," Flick wrote.
Warren was one of Penn State's most ferocious weapons in 2024, hauling in 104 catches for over 1,200 yards and scoring eight touchdowns for the Nittany Lions. Warren would give Anthony Richardson (or whoever is quarterbacking the Colts in 2025) a dependable pass-catching tight end, and that would be a big help for his development.
