From the moment draft speculation began, the Indianapolis Colts have been linked to Penn State superstar Tyler Warren. And it's not much of a surprise as to why; Warren is one of the best tight ends in this year's class, and... well, the Colts need a lot of help at that position. Their tight end room is laughably, notoriously bad, and in desperate need of talent.

Warren is a monster on the field, and would be a great fit for any quarterback, but especially Anthony Richardson. He's proven that he can block and he can catch, and he does both well. No matter how Penn State used him, he excelled, and given how dire the need is at tight end for the Colts, it's no surprise that analysts initially put him as the first-round pick for Indianapolis.

Unfortunately, other teams in the league are noticing how gifted Warren is, though. And now, the question has become whether or not he'll even make it to the 14th pick. The latest update, from Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz, adds fuel to the fire that Indy may end up missing out.

According to Schultz, executives said there's just nothing they need to see from Warren. They already know he's the total package.

"While Warren’s already had multiple private workouts, one team picking in the top 10 canceled theirs last minute, saying: “What are we really getting out of this? We’ve seen enough on him.”

Said one executive: “He checks every box — character, toughness, intelligence, and he’s just scratching the surface athletically. There’s not much to overthink.”"

Aside from the Colts, the Chicago Bears are another team that is rumored to have interest in Warren... and they have the #10 pick. Other mock drafts have him going to the Jets, the Jaguars, the Panthers, or the Cowboys. While the Colts are still the overwhelming choice to nab Warren, it's clear that there is no shortage of competition.

Because of this, another option the Colts could consider is Michigan's Colston Loveland, who is a stellar tight end in his own right. But at this position, in this year's draft class, Warren is clearly the star that teams are going to be fighting over.
