The Indianapolis Colts are facing a make-or-break season. Patience is running out with head coach Shane Steichen and general manager Chris Ballard, and with a tough schedule to open the season, they can't fool around in training camp.

There are reasons to be hopeful. Charvarius Ward and Sauce Gardner are healthy, and there's still hope that DeForest Buckner will be ready for the season opener. That said, there are also several questions to answer.

Will the Colts be the same rampant team that dominated in the first half of the season? Or will they be the soulless outfit that couldn't buy a win to close out the year? Only time will tell, but these three training camp storylines might have plenty to do with that.

3 storylines to follow in the Indianapolis Colts' training camp

Will they add another WR?

So far, the Indianapolis Colts have shown no desire to add another wide receiver to the mix. They've been tied to Keenan Allen and Tyreek Hill, but it's been mostly smoke and rumors. Will that change after watching where the offense is during training camp?

The Colts lost one of their most important weapons when they traded Michael Pittman Jr., and they didn't bring in anyone with proven experience to replace him. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine is mostly a special teams guy, and, on paper, they're thin at the position.

Veteran special teams ace Ashton Dulin turned heads earlier in the offseason and looked poised for a bigger role. Will he be able to keep the momentum going and prove to the team that they don't need to make another move?

Who'll start next to Laiatu Latu?

Laiatu Latu is a rising star in this league. He's gotten progressively better and should flirt with double-digit sacks next season. However, he's the lone bright spot in the Colts' rather underwhelming pass-rushing unit.

The Colts signed Arden Key to compete with Jaylahn Tuimoloau for the other starting defensive end spot, and there's still no front-runner for the spot. Given Tuimoloau's draft pedigree and potential, that's a bit of a red flag.

Lou Anarumo's defense was great against the run last season, but it struggled mightily against the pass. Do they have enough to change that this season? Is Tuimoloau ready to leap, or will he disappoint again in 2026?

Is Daniel Jones truly ready?

Daniel Jones is beating the odds in his recovery process. He reportedly looked sharp in 7-on-7 drills during OTAs, and it seems that, barring a shocking turn of events, he'll be fully ready to roll for training camp.

Jones played the best football of his career in the first half of last season. The Colts are putting all their eggs in his basket, hoping that he'll finally break their quarterback curse and provide some much-needed long-term stability.

Even so, he's coming off a major injury, and he does have a history of ailments. Will the Colts feel comfortable enough with where he's at in his recovery process, and should they throw him into the fire right away?
