The Indianapolis Colts don't have a first-round pick for the 2026 NFL Draft. However, they have seven selections in total, including three in the final round. That may not be the most appealing scenario, but it gives general manager Chris Ballard some wiggle room to get creative.
The seventh round is full of mostly depth pieces and players who may not even make the 53-man roster, with a few exceptions, of course. As such, the team might be better off packaging multiple selections to get someone who can contribute now.
That's where the Cleveland Browns may come in handy. Browns GM Andrew Berry loves stacking draft capital, and with a new head coach in town, some of their players could be up for grabs at the right price. Considering that, let's take a look at three Browns players the Colts should target.
3 Browns players the Indianapolis Colts should try to acquire
3. Adin Huntington - DL
Adin Huntington snuck his way onto the Browns' roster as an undrafted free agent last season, and Myles Garrett took him under his wing almost right away. While he's listed as a defensive tackle, he actually took snaps at tackle, defensive end, and fullback. He can also contribute to special teams as a do-it-all guy.
While the Browns are high on him, they also have plenty of depth in the interior of the defensive line, and they added Kalia Davis to the mix. As such, they probably wouldn't mind flipping their former undrafted free agent to get draft compensation. Technically, they'd be getting more value than they gave for him.
The Colts' defense could use some help at both defensive tackle and defensive end. Huntington is a physical specimen and high-motor guy who may only need a bigger role to prove that he deserves to be a starter.
2. Cedric Tillman - WR
For years, the Cleveland Browns have hoped that Cedric Tillman will turn into an All-Pro-caliber wide receiver. Unfortunately, he's been hurt more often than not, so they might finally be ready to move on from him.
Tillman has also been on the wrong end of some terrible quarterback play, and that shouldn't be an issue in Indianapolis. Also, unlike the Browns, the Colts have more depth at the position, so they can afford to wait for him, develop him, and won't necessarily depend on him to move the chains.
When healthy, Tillman has shown the potential to be a disruptive, big-bodied wide receiver who can excel in contested-catch situations. He's physical and knows how to use his 6-foot-3 frame to create separation, and with the Browns likely taking at least two wide receivers, he should be available.
1. Isaiah McGuire - DE
Last but not least, we find Isaiah McGuire. He's rotated with Alex Wright at defensive end opposite Myles Garrett for most of his career, but he's been quite productive in limited snaps, especially as a fill-in starter.
The Colts could use some help at edge rusher, as evidenced by their failed pursuit of Trey Hendrickson. While McGuire isn't on the same tier, he's been a steady contributor to one of the hardest-hitting defensive lines in the game.
He's on an expiring deal, and with the Browns already giving Wright a contract extension, the writing is on the wall. He has the potential to be a three-down starter opposite Laiatu Latu at best or a high-end rotational piece at worst.
