The Indianapolis Colts will kick off their preseason schedule on Thursday, August 13, against the New England Patriots. The game will begin at 7:30 pm ET and will be played at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
As Indy fans already know, the outcomes of preseason games are meaningless. The Colts could win by 40 or lose by 40, and, ultimately, that doesn't matter. What does matter is how well certain players perform and how position battles play out.
Quarterback Daniel Jones won't play, for instance, but that means Riley Leonard and Anthony Richardson will. The backup quarterback spot is one of the key reasons to watch Indianapolis play New England, even if the game features mostly backups versus backups.

Richardson will get the start, but Leonard should get as many reps. Fourth-string Easton Stick will probably also get some snaps.
How to watch, stream, and listen to the Indianapolis Colts versus the New England Patriots:
In the Indy area, fans can watch on FOX59. Play-by-play will be done by Greg Rakestraw, analysis by Rick Venturi, and Laura Overton will be the sideline reporter.
If you are still a Colts fan but don't live in Indiana, you can stream the game on FuboTV and NFL+ with a subscription. The good part about the latter is that subscribing only costs as low as $6.99 a month, and you can also listen to regular season games for free. (To watch regular season games live, however, NFL+ won't help you.)
You can also stream the game on Colts.com, but you would need to live locally for that, except for one caveat. That is, if you live in Austria, Germany, or Switzerland, you can also stream the game on the team's official website.
To listen to the game locally, you can tune into 93.5 or 107.5 The Fan and do so. Few things are better than listening to live sports (other than watching them, of course).

- Week 2 (Aug. 22): vs. Atlanta Falcons at 1:00 PM
- Week 3 (Aug. 29): vs. Detroit Lions at 1:00 PM
Final roster cuts will need to be made by Sunday, August 30, at 6 pm ET, so Indianapolis will already have a good idea of who they want to keep around before the final preseason game is played. That still makes the final game must-watch for fans, though, because two or three spots could still be up for grabs, and they could be decided versus the Lions.
The Indianapolis Colts will begin the regular season on Sunday, September 13. The team will host the Baltimore Ravens at 1 pm ET at Lucas Oil Stadium.
