The Indianapolis Colts travel to play the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2 on Sunday Night Football on NBC. The entire football nation will be watching, and Indy cannot afford to be embarrassed as it was in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens.
Kickoff is set for 8:20 pm ET, so Indy fans will need to plan on staying up late and going into work and school late on Monday. Let's just hope that the team gives fans a reason to lose sleep.
The positive part is that Week 1s (win or lose) are not truly indicative of how good or bad a team is. The Colts could go to KC and steal a win. The entire season would suddenly appear far more hopeful for followers of Indianapolis's professional football team.

How to watch the Indianapolis Colts vs. the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2
The entire nation can see the Colts play the Chiefs easily, as the game is on prime time on Sunday Night Football on NBC. That is WTHR 13 in Indianapolis. For those Indy fans who live in KC, KSHB is the channel for you (but you probably know that already).
The broadcast team consists of Mike Tirico on play-by-play, Cris Collinsworth providing analysis, and Melissa Stark reporting from the sidelines. The pre-game show on NBC includes Maria Taylor, Jason Garrett, Devin McCourty, and Mike Tomlin.

Colts vs. Chiefs injury updates in Week 2
Indianapolis enters the game relatively healthy, with the hopes that things stay that way. Wide receiver and key special teamer Ashton Dulin has been ruled out with an ankle injury, and running back DJ Giddens is questionable with a knee issue, but no one else has an injury designation.
Receiver Alec Pierce missed Thursday's practice, but that appears just to have been a rest day. In fact, Pierce is expected to play more reps in Week 2 than he did in Week 1.
For the Chiefs, they will be missing defensive back Chamarri Conner (knee) and offensive tackle Josh Simmons (back). Simmons is the starting left tackle, but the Colts' pass rush is still a work in progress. Maybe KC missing a starter will help.
Starting cornerback Mansoor Delane (shoulder) and elite defensive lineman Chris Jones (calf) are listed as questionable. Both are expected to play.
Storylines to watch for Colts in Week 2
The obvious storyline is whether all phases of the game can improve for Indianapolis because all failed in Week 1. That includes the coaching staff, who had an awful plan for trying to defeat the Baltimore Ravens. Likely, to save his job, Shane Steichen needs to start beating some winning teams (he is 7-22 against those in three-plus seasons), and that begins against the Chiefs.
Offensively, will Alec Pierce play more? He was somewhat limited against the Ravens, even on simple things like the routes he ran. He needs to be able to run a full route tree, but going deep is what makes him special.
Defensively, what will second-round pick CJ Allen do, if anything? The first selection Indianapolis made this year didn't play a snap against Baltimore, which seems ridiculous when compared to fellow rookies, safety AJ Haulcy and linebacker Bryce Boettcher. They played 67 and 23 snaps, respectively. Haulcy also had a more recent injury issue than Allen, so...?
What might happen between the Colts and the Chiefs
This is nearly as much of a Week 2 must-win as a team can have. The Indianapolis Colts were blown out in Week 1, and the fanbase was rightly miffed. Indy needs to make the postseason, or Shane Steichen and general manager Chris Ballard could be out of their jobs. A bad start to the season might bury the team early.
Quarterback Daniel Jones, though, is terrible in prime-time games. He has a career record of 1-15. Playing in Kansas City isn't easy, either. The guess is that the Chiefs will win, though in a close game. Jones will perform admirably, and the defense will play decently. The loss will be summed up by Steichen as the team working on getting better, and there is a lot of football left in the season.
