Indianapolis Colts safety Trevor Denbow was injured during the opening play in their divisional matchup against the Houston Texans.

After the Texans won the coin-toss, they elected to receive the ball, and Dameon Pierce was able to run 45 yards to the 43-yard line. But as the play concluded, Denbow was seen laying on the field in pain, and the injury appeared to be significant; even head coach Shane Steichen could be seen going onto the field to check on him.

Denbow had to be helped off the field and into the tunnel by trainers, and was unable to put any weight on his right leg. He's officially been ruled questionable to return with a knee injury.

The Colts signed Denbow was an undrafted free agent in 2022, and was placed on injured reserve in 2023 shortly after being named to the final roster. He later made his Colts debut against the New England Patriots in Week 9, playing on special teams. He signed a one-year contract extension with the Colts in January of 2024.
