The Colts got a nail biter win last weekend with a victory over New England in Foxborough, with a final score of 25-24. This moves the Colts back down in the 4th round a few spots, but there is plenty of talent still available.
We continue to see Jonathan Taylor and Anthony Richardson be the only players that seem to run the football on this team. Whether this is a trust factor with Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson is unknown. What is known after 13 weeks is the continued need for depth at this position. We discussed in past content about the Colts going for Michigan RB Kalel Mullings. His stock obviously rose after his strong performance last week against Ohio State. Mullings is not the only viable option for the Colts as they continue to fill these depth holes.

Devin Neal RB/Kansas
Is this prediction too underwhelming for Devin Neal? Potentially, as he could be a Day Two pick, but this running back class has some serious talent. His NFL combine performance will be crucial to help separate himself from the rest of the class.
Neal is a bit undersized for a running back, but he is a nearly complete back. He has the skill set to be a starter and could be a great complement to someone like Jonathan Taylor. His draft stock was solid, but really shot up after his performance against Colorado. Neal compiled 40 carries for 283 scrimmage yards and 4 touchdowns. It was the best performance of his career yet, and buried any playoff chances that Colorado was hoping to achieve.
Neal is not the best lateral runner and his pass protection blocking needs some coaching. He can grind out yards inside the hash marks and catch the ball out of the backfield. He has shown some strength with his field vision as well, once he gets the ball out in the open field. Like our discussion with Mullings, this backfield is not sustainable with just one capable back. With Neal, you can get a back that can not only take the load from Taylor, but can offer them a change of pace back as well. Donβt rule out the Colts looking at taking two running backs in April, either; itβs that serious of a need.
