In Week 8, the Indianapolis Colts will host the rival Tennessee Titans in Lucas Oil Stadium. The last time these two franchises met, it got ugly to the tune of 41 points put up by Indianapolis' freight train offense. Facing a Colts team that has only gotten stronger, and with an interim head coach at the helm, things could get ugly for the Titans very quickly.
The Titans fired Brian Callahan after their Week 6 game. Callahan's regime was characterized by poor leadership and shoddy execution. Since his firing? Tennessee has only imploded further, and on the other side of that spectrum, the Indianapolis Colts have risen to the very top of the NFL.
The Colts beat the Titans 41-20 in Week 3 at the Titans' home stadium, and it was a game that truly never felt close. This Colts team wants to prove to the world that they are a force to be reckoned with, and to do that, they have to step on the throats of the Titans early and never let up. Monster offensive predictions are in line for Sunday's game, and it's up to Indianapolis to make them true.
Bold predictions for the Indianapolis Colts versus the Tennessee Titans
Prediction No. 1: Jonathan Taylor touches history with fourth three touchdown performance of the season
The player with the most games in which they scored three or more rushing touchdowns is LaDanian Tomlinson, who did it a freakish 12 times over his career. Jonathan Taylor has had three performances of three or more rushing touchdowns in just the last five games he's played.
The young running back has been sensational and is on one of the most historic scoring runs that this game has ever seen.
Not to mention, the first time he accomplished this feat in the 2025 NFL season was against this very same Tennessee Titans team back in Week 3. Taylor has been arguably the best player in the entire league this season, and he's doing it behind arguably the best-performing offensive line in the league.
Against a Titans team that has been demoralized by losses week after week, Taylor has the chance to feast yet again.
Who knows if Taylor will be able to keep his streak of three rushing touchdown games alive, but rest assured, behind one of the premier offensive lines in the league, he should be able to run at will through this Titans defense.
Prediction No. 2: Alec Pierce is the Colts leading receiver for the game
There are two Colts players who have outperformed their value so vastly that when their contracts expire at the end of the year, Indianapolis will be forced to shell out big money to keep them. The first of those (for obvious reasons) is Daniel Jones. The second is Alec Pierce, who has simply been sensational for this Colts offense.
Pierce is at best the third prioritized receiving option in this potent Colts offense, behind Michael Pittman and rookie phenom Tyler Warren. That hasn't stopped him from showing the value he brings to the offense week in and week out.
Pierce has only played in five games this year, and yet in three of them he has a reception of 35 yards or more. He's been a true field stretching deep threat, and Week 7 against the Chargers was his best outing, a 98 yard performance that saw him as the leading reciever for Indy for the game.
Don't be surprised if Pierce has another big week and works his way into being the yards leader for the team yet again against a struggling Tennessee secondary.
Prediction No. 3: Daniel Jones will not be sacked this game
Shane Steichen's Indianapolis Colts offense has been the best in the league this year. So much of this credit goes to their bevy of weapons, a dominant Jonathan Taylor, and Daniel Jones career resurgence. What is so often glossed over is that the Colts have easily one of the best offensive lines in the league.
This unit is so often reduced to Quentin Nelson and Co., but all of the starters have performed admirably. They're a huge reason Jonathan Taylor and Daniel Jones have had seasons worthy of MVP conversations.
Throughout the entire year, this unit has only allowed Jones to be sacked more than once in a game, one time, allowing two sacks against a fearsome Los Angeles Rams pass rush.
Two times this year, Jones has completed games without being sacked once. The first time that happened this year? You guessed it, Week 3 in Indianapolis' first bout against the Tennessee Titans. It's not at all out of the picture to see their second contest yield the same results, as outside of elite defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons, the Titans' pass rush leaves a lot to be desired.
Ultimately, this is a divisional game, and divisional opponents always have a tendency to hang closer than most other teams rightfully would when there's a massive talent disparity. Still, we've already seen what the 2025 Colts looked like just a few weeks ago against the 2025 Titans, and it was nothing short of a blowout. Anything can happen, but expect Indy's offensive dominance to continue in Week 8.
