The Indianapolis Colts couldn't keep the momentum going for another week. Eventually, all the unforced errors would cost them, and the Pittsburgh Steelers had additional time to prepare for this matchup.
Daniel Jones continues to show signs of regression, and the Colts' defense also took a big step back after consecutive strong performances. However, the division-wide picture remained pretty much unchanged this week.
While the Colts still aren't the top dog in the division, they're by no means near the bottom, either. Of course, being stuck in the middle is no fun, but there's still plenty of football left to be played this season.
AFC South power rankings: Indianapolis Colts are still No. 2
4. Tennessee Titans (0-5)
The Tennessee Titans are just hopeless. Their second-year quarterback has shown no signs of improvement in year two; the offensive line has struggled to keep him safe and sound, and the seemingly revamped defense can only do so much when the offense can't stay on the field.
This team is dangerously entering 'take a quarterback next year' territory. Fortunately for them, and not so much for the rest of the division, they're most likely heading toward another draft with a top-three selection.
3. Houston Texans (1-4)
The Houston Texans finally got their first win of the season, though it came against the Titans, so some may want to put an asterisk next to it. A win is a win, but they had to settle for field goals way too often against the worst team in the division.
With all due respect to his old man, trading for Marvin Harrison Jr. is highly unlikely to have the season-changing effect they're hoping for. Of course, we wish him well, except when he's going against his father's former team. Other than that, these underperforming Texans remain unchanged.
2. Indianapolis Colts (2-3)
The Indianapolis Colts have a ton of things to clean up on both sides of the field. The offensive line isn't creating any running lanes for Jonathan Taylor, and the absence of Alec Pierce has eliminated the vertical passing game for Daniel Jones.
On defense, poor tackling and their never-ending struggles at linebacker showed up at the worst possible time again in the loss. There's too much talent on that side of the field for that unit to be that inconsistent.
That said, this team can clearly be much better than this; it's just a matter of execution. At least they have a home date with the Titans next week, and that's just what the doctor ordered to get right back on track.
1. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-1)
The Jacksonville Jaguars defended their "home" in London with a big comeback win over the Philadelphia Eagles. However, they had to resort to a late-game miracle and an absolute meltdown by the Eagles' special teams to secure this one. It wasn't as easy as it was supposed to be.
The Eagles were down multiple starters, including Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith, yet they were one second away from returning to the States with a triumph. The Jaguars' record is solid, but the tape shows they can still be had.
