1. Colts will trade up for the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft

In Chris Ballard’s end-of-season interview on Tuesday, he said something that got a lot of people excited. Ballard said that if there was a prospective quarterback that the team really believed in, he would do “whatever it takes” to get that quarterback. If Indianapolis finds that prospect in this draft, all the team would have to do is negotiate a trade with the Bears to move from the No. 4 pick up to the No. 1 pick.

The top two quarterbacks in this draft class are Bryce Young and CJ Stroud, with Will Levis expected to be in the mix as well. Expect Indianapolis to be all in on one of these prospects and make the move to No. 1 so that the Colts could be sure that they get the quarterback they want. The biggest roadblock for Indy will be putting together the perfect trade package that convinces the Bears to move back but doesn’t give away too much draft capital.

That’s where the last prediction on this list could come into play. Indianapolis could include Kenny Moore in the trade package with Chicago to move to the No. 1 pick. The Colts could also pitch Chicago on the fact that it will only be moving back three spots and will still be in a position to draft defensive talents like Will Anderson or Jalen Carter. The inclusion of the No. 4 pick and Kenny Moore should save the Colts from having to send too many picks to the Bears.

If a successful trade could be negotiated, Indianapolis would be in a position to draft Young, Stroud, or whatever player they feel is worthy of trading multiple assets for to select with the No. 1 overall pick.
