With the holiday season in full stride, it’s worth looking at what could end up on the Indianapolis Colts Christmas list this year.

So many things went wrong for the Indianapolis Colts in 2022, but the holiday season can turn things around. This is the time to be thankful for what you have and cherish the memories that you’ve made with those around you.

Many take this time to wish for new things and in Indianapolis, there are quite a few things to wish for. But just like becoming an adult, you soon realize that you can’t get everything you ask for. So let’s be realistic!

The Colts officially got eliminated from the playoff race on Thursday night when the Jacksonville Jaguars picked up their seventh win of the season. Even if the Colts were to miraculously win their last three games and finish at 7-9-1, there will be no postseason for Indy. And honestly, could the Colts even do anything in the playoffs with the team they have except ruin the possibility of drafting the franchise quarterback?

So now that Indianapolis is out of playoff contention, what should the franchise be wishing for? It seems that interim head coach Jeff Saturday is started the week with the Christmas spirit, by benching Matt Ryan (again), but this time for Nick Foles. Is this an early Christmas present that Colts fans wanted to help prepare the Colts for a top-five pick in the draft?

Shutting Matt Ryan down for a second time was my first of three wishes for the Colts and it already has come true. So what else can one wish for this year?
