The Indianapolis Colts play the Minnesota Vikings in a Saturday game. Here are the best bets for the pivotal Week 15 matchup.
After a brutal 13 weeks that left the Indianapolis Colts at 4-8-1, Indy finally got a break with their Week 14 bye. During the bye week, the Colts got to heal up but they also moved higher in the draft order. Despite how close Indianapolis is to the top pick, there’s still a chance that the team can make the playoffs. In order to keep those chances from fading, the Colts need a win on Saturday against the Minnesota Vikings.
The Vikings are 10-3 and have Justin Jefferson who has been dominating the NFL this season. As demonstrated by their record, beating Minnesota is no easy task. There’s no telling if Indianapolis will pull off the upset but one thing is certain, there will be plenty of good action to bet on. Here are some of the best bets for the game.
Best Colts bets Week 15
*All odds according to FanDuel*
3. Alec Pierce over 36.5 receiving yards (-114)
If you’ve been watching the Colts this season, then you know that Alec Pierce could pick up this yardage on one catch. At least once a game, Matt Ryan throws up a deep ball to Pierce and he comes down with it the majority of the time. His success rate on deep passes is why Indy needs to target him even more downfield.
In Pierce’s 12 games this season, he has 37 or more yards in seven of them. In the Week 13 game against the Dallas Cowboys before Indy’s bye week, Pierce had his career high in receiving yards with 86, on just four receptions. That’s 21.5 yards a catch. Expect another explosive day from Pierce.
2. Jonathan Taylor over 82.5 rushing yards (-114)
Sometimes, it can seem like Jonathan Taylor is having a bad season. The offensive line has been struggling and Taylor isn’t nearing 2,000 yards like he was last season. However, this is just a case of Taylor setting an extremely high standard for himself because he’s still been having a solid season so far with 861 yards and four touchdowns. On Sunday, expect Taylor to pick up even more yards, specifically, 83 or more.
The last time Taylor was held under 82 yards was in Week 8 against the Washington Commanders when he finished with 76. Since that game, Taylor has run for 147, 84, 86, and 82 yards in his last four games.
1. Jonathan Taylor over 19.5 rush attempts (-120)
A big part of Taylor’s rushing success is just giving him the ball. Since Jeff Saturday took over and emphasized his plan to get Taylor in rhythm, Taylor has had at least 20 carries a game. When he touches the ball, he usually makes something happen. Expect Jonathan Taylor to get at least 20 touches against the Minnesota Vikings.
