The 2022 NFL season has not gone as planned for the Indianapolis Colts but how will the remaining six games play out for Indy?

Heading into the current season, the Indianapolis Colts were predicted to not only win the AFC South but to be a contender in the AFC to make the Super Bowl. Now, after 11 weeks, the Colts are closer to the No. 1 overall pick in next year’s draft than they are to winning a Super Bowl this season.

This will be attempt number three at predicting Indy’s 2022 season schedule, which has not turned out as fruitful as many would have hoped. Just before the season, I had predicted that the Colts would be sitting at 6-5, but still in playoff contention. That’s not super far off from where they currently stand at 4-6-1.

Had Indianapolis been coming off a win in Week 11 against the Philadelphia Eagles, the remainder of the schedule appeared to have gotten lighter, based on preseason expectations, to make a strong playoff push. With games against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, and Houston Texans, that was almost a guaranteed four wins to end the season.

By getting hot late in the season, it would not be surprising if the Colts could pull off an upset over the Los Angeles Chargers or Dallas Cowboys, either.

However, here we are looking at a very tough stretch of football. The weakest records coming up are against the Chargers and Texans, and those matchups do not bode well for Indianapolis. The playoffs are a distant dream at this point, so where do the Colts fall at the end of the season? Let’s take a look.
