2. Colts should bring back offensive linemen Chris Reed

The Colts have had a very inconsistent offensive line this season. They have allowed Matt Ryan to get hit and pressured way too much. Excluding the game this past Sunday against the Jaguars, where Indy didn’t allow a sack, Matt Ryan has been put on his backside a historic amount. For that reason, I think that Indy needs to entertain the idea of bringing in another offensive lineman that can give this group some more depth and maybe even be a starter.

The reason that I feel like Chris Reed would be a good addition to the Colts is his ability to block in both the run and pass game. Last season, Reed played a decent amount for Indianapolis when there were starters that were out. His best game was against the Arizona Cardinals on Christmas. He did his job to protect then-quarterback Carson Wentz and open up holes for the run game.

Unfortunately, Indy let Reed and Mark Glowinski, the guard who was ahead of Reed, walk in free agency. Through six games, it has become evident that was a mistake. The Colts could use both Glowinski and Reed but should definitely try to bring back Chris Reed.

Reed has not played yet this season with the Minnesota Vikings after he battled an elbow injury in camp. He has been listed as a second-string guard for Minnesota but his number hasn’t been called. I think that if the Colts feel that they need a little more help on the line, which they do, Chris Reed is the way to go. He will more than likely see more action in Indy anyway as he knows the offense better here.
