The Indianapolis Colts have an immensely talented team, but how many of their stars will have an All-Pro year in the 2022 season?

Last year, the Indianapolis Colts were one of the most talented teams in the NFL. That was evident in Indy’s league-high seven Pro Bowl selections and also the team’s five All-Pro selections at the end of the season. However, the Colts added even more talent this offseason, so could Indy have a bigger representation on the All-Pro teams this season?

The five All-Pro players from last season were Jonathan Taylor, Shaquille Leonard, Quentin Nelson, Ashton Dulin, and Luke Rhodes. All those players are back in Indy and so is every one of the players that were selected to the Pro Bowl. Additionally, the Colts added former Pro Bowlers Matt Ryan, Yannick Ngakoue, and Stephon Gilmore.

So with a modest prediction, how many Indianapolis players will probably have an All-Pro season this year? Ian Wharton of Bleacher Report answered this by predicting the All-Pro teams for this upcoming season. For the Colts, Wharton only predicts that three will make it, though, special teams weren’t considered.

The three were the obvious three; Jonathan Taylor, Quenton Nelson, and Shaquille Leonard.

Colts only predicted to have three All-Pro players

With special teams apart of the equation, Indy has had more than three All-Pro players in both of the last two years. However, Wharton is only predicting a second-team nod for Jonathan Taylor and first-team selections for Shaquille Leonard and Quenton Nelson.

The talent level in the NFL is incredibly deep right now, so there are a ton of All-Pro caliber players in the league. However, with the talent level of the Colts, it’s safe to assume that Indy will have a super productive season, and as a result, they will have more than three players selected to an All-Pro team.

Not only could veterans who’ve already been there like DeForest Buckner, Ryan Kelly, and Stephon Gilmore, make it again, but Indianapolis has several emerging talents that are capable of a breakout season that would merit league honors. The Colts will likely have a better season as a team than they did last year and that should lead to them dominating the Pro Bowl and All-Pro teams again.
