3 Colts whose stock has risen during training camp
1. Tight end Andrew Ogletree
This offseason, Jack Doyle retired, so the Colts re-signed Mo Alie-Cox and selected Jelani Woods with the team’s second pick in the Draft. This comes a year after drafting Kylen Granson, who is still with the team. Despite having these three guys, Indy selected Andrew Ogletree in the sixth round of this year’s draft.
The reason why: the Colts loved Ogletree as a prospect and felt he could contribute to what they are hoping will be a tight end-centric passing offense. However, following the draft and leading up to training camp, it was Jelani Woods that had all of the headlines.
Woods was selected three rounds earlier and was the more coveted prospect coming out of college, so it only made sense that he got more publicity. However, now that camp has started, it’s Ogletree that’s making all of the headlines.

Ogletree’s camp was highlighted by an exciting one-handed touchdown snag, but he has been stacking together impressive practices and earning himself a regular role on the offense. As the season approaches, Ogletree is likely to see a lot of time.
He knows how to use his athleticism and his 6-foot-7, 250-pound frame to go across the middle and make plays. He has been doing it in training camp and he needs to do it in the regular season when the Colts give him the opportunity.
