QB Spencer Rattler, South Carolina

Here is the pick for the quarterback. Let’s be honest, it’s probably not even the pick that many Colts fans want, but it might make the most sense.

Spencer Rattler has a chip on his shoulder after being benched by Oklahoma and moving to South Carolina via the transfer portal.

The Colts are not going to end up with one of the top quarterbacks unless Ballard somehow decides to trade for either one of the top two picks in the NFL Draft. So going with a quarterback late in the first or early in the second is likely going to be the move. Rattler should be there.

With this pick, the Colts don’t need to make sure that he is starting Week 1 either. With Matt Ryan on the roster and likely still playing in 2023, Rattler can sit behind him and learn from a veteran that has made it to the Super Bowl and won an MVP.

Matt’s maturity for the game and the level of play he is capable of could really rub off on Spencer, creating a more versatile pro. The league is growing and having a quick, versatile quarterback is what teams need to win games. Spencer Rattler is that player that can get it done for the Colts.
