2. Jonathan Taylor

Last year, the NFL saw Derrick Henry go down for half the season and still end in the top 10 in rushing yards. The Tennessee Titans moved on without him and still ended up with the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

The Colts relied heavily on Jonathan Taylor last year, which led him to a rushing title and in talks for MVP and OPOY. What would have happened to Taylor’s projection had Carson Wentz not opted out of running plays so much?

Behind JT sits Nyheim Hines, who is a good pass-catching back and can get the job done in between plays when needed. If Taylor were to get hurt, that production from Hines is not going to be as significant.

Losing the running game will severely hurt Indy’s offense this year, making them more one-dimensional. We all saw what happened to the Atlanta Falcons when Matt Ryan had to focus strictly on the passing game and had zero run options.

Jonathan Taylor must stay healthy as the identity of the Colts offense.
