The Colts still have a lot of questions at offensive tackle going into training camp. As of now, Matt Pryor will be the Colts’ starter at left tackle. He has only started fifteen games in his NFL career. Indy also has Bernhard Raimann, who the Colts drafted in the third round this year.

Many people around the league expect Raimann to become the starter at left tackle for the Colts at some point this season. However, with so little experience for the Indianapolis at left tackle, they could use some depth, and that’s where Ryan Van Demark comes in.

Ryan Van Demark has experience at both tackle spots. He was a four-year starter at UConn and was also a team captain in 2021. He has starts at left tackle and right tackle.

Ryan Van Demark also scored a 9.45 out of 10 RAS. He is an excellent run blocker who could end up being a decent pass blocker later in his career. He would be a good depth piece, but could also be someone who sees the field at some point.

Beyond his abilities, it’s worth noting that the Colts gave Ryan Van Demark a $175,000 signing bonus. While that doesn’t automatically mean he will make the roster, it’s hard to believe they invest that much money in him just to eventually cut him.
