CB Dallis Flowers should make Colts roster

Let’s be honest. I am a huge fan of this guy, as a player and as a person. My dude is humble, yet explosive. Dallis Flowers began his NFL journey as an NAIA athlete at Grand View University, then went to the Division 2 level at Pittsburgh State. Now, he’s an NFL defensive back and a future candidate as a household name.

He is GOOD. So good, this isn’t even the first time he’s been featured in one of my posts. I previously talked about how he could have a Kenny Moore-type story going from being undrafted to becoming a star with Indianapolis. That’s how talented he is.

In 2021, Flowers transferred to Pitt State and returned a total of 17 kicks for 573 yards and two touchdowns, including one for 95 yards and the other for 98 yards. Defensively, he accounted for 16 tackles, four interceptions, and six pass deflections.

His versatility gives him a great chance to make the final 53-man roster. We should expect Flowers to earn a role as a returner and a reserve DB in a deep defensive back room. Especially with Isaiah Rodgers likely emerging as a starting corner, Flowers can replace Rodgers as the top return man.

That will allow Isaiah Rodgers to stay fresh for defense and give Dallis Flowers the opportunity to showcase his explosive play-making ability.
