The excitement to watch the Indianapolis Colts play football in 2022 is evident as two home games have already sold out of tickets.

The Indianapolis Colts played a dominant stretch of football last season before suffering a heartbreaking collapse at the end of the season that resulted in the team missing the playoffs. However, the nightmare of an ending motivated Indy to make some necessary changes and additions this offseason.

Indianapolis made a quarterback change by sending Carson Wentz to Washington and bringing in Matt Ryan. Indy also added a lot of firepower on defense with Yannick Ngakoue and Stephon Gilmore. The draft was also big for Indy as it was able to land some likely immediate contributors on both sides of the ball.

With all of the returning and newly acquired talent, expectations are high for the Colts. Many believe this will be a fun team that can win games and contends in the playoffs. Those expectations are being reflected by Indy’s ticket sales.

Although it is only June, two home games for the Colts are already sold out. The team announced that there are no more single-game tickets for Indy’s Week 3 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs or the Week 12 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Colts have already sold out two games

The team did clarify that there are still tickets for these games reserved for season ticket packages, as well as standing room only and obstructed view tickets, but all regular tickets are sold out. That may just be the beginning for what could be an entertaining team.

The Colts have many players that are worth going to see as well as a lot of quality games at Lucas Oil Stadium, including two primetime games. The matchup against the Steelers is one of the home primetime games and the other is a Monday Night game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Hopefully, the Colts will be able to deliver on the excitement once football is actually being played. The goal should be for Indy fans to leave Lucas Oil Stadium even more excited than they were when they purchased tickets. The way to do that is by winning games.
