Isaiah Rodgers and Brandon Facyson will compete for starting corner

This offseason, Indianapolis acquired five-time Pro Bowl corner, Stephon Gilmore. Gilmore is just 31 years old and coming off of four consecutive Pro Bowls. That means he’s guaranteed one of the starting cornerback spots.

However, the spot opposite of Gilmore is up for grabs. The two players who will be the leading competitors for the job are at similar points in their NFL careers.

Isaiah Rodgers is entering his third season and has only ever started one game and Brandon Facyson is entering his fifth year and has only started 13 of the 56 games he’s played in.

Both are young corners who have shown great potential in their flashes on the field and next season has the potential to be a breakout year for either of them.

However, only one will be able to get the starting job. If both deliver throughout the offseason, they both should see playing time since cornerback is a position that rotates, especially with packages.

However, Rodgers and Facyson will still battle to see who gets the starting title and the lion’s share of snaps.
