Fans of the Indianapolis Colts will have a chance to see what Chris Ballard and the war room are like during the 2022 NFL Draft.

The 2022 NFL Draft is almost here, and soon, many talented prospects’ dreams will come true as their phones are called by NFL franchises.

On the other end of the phone will be a chaotic NFL war room filled with a team’s front office that is frantically hoping to land on their dream pick.

Fans of the Indianapolis Colts will be able to get a glimpse into Indy’s war room thanks to Chris Ballard and Pat McAfee. “The Pat McAfee Show” does a Draft special every year and has several special guests.

In years past, Colts general manager, Chris Ballard, has been one of the guests and McAfee revealed that he will be a guest again this year. However, Ballard will join the show from Indy’s war room.

A glimpse into the Colts war room

As McAfee highlighted, Ballard usually joins the show before the Draft officially starts. This year, Ballard will be live from the war room while the Draft is ongoing.

McAfee and his cohosts have a very direct interviewing style and they are vowing to ask questions about strategy, to help bring fans into the mind of an NFL general manager during Draft night.

Ballard’s appearance will be during the first round, where the Colts don’t currently have a pick, and that could be the reason for his willingness to participate.

It’s unlikely that Indianapolis is going to make a trade into the first round and Ballard will be sure not to reveal too much, but it still will be cool to watch Ballard, and as much of the war room that will be visible, react to the proceedings of the first round.

Usually, Indy and other teams release footage after the Draft is over but it will be a different experience to get a glimpse of things as they’re actually happening.
