Colts draft WR Kyle Philips in the fourth round

So far in this mock draft, we have had a run on offensive players. I wouldn’t expect anything less from the Colts in the Draft. Indy took Christian Watson in the second round of this mock draft and will look to go with a wide receiver again with their first pick of the fourth round.

At this spot in the draft, Kyle Philips is the best wideout available. He rates to be the best pure slot receiver in this draft class. However, that is also part of the reason he will go this late. Kyle Philips will only really be able to play in the slot position in the NFL.

That would not necessarily be bad for Indianapolis after drafting Watson. Last season at UCLA, Philips totaled 739 yards and ten touchdowns. He was largely underused in the Bruins’ offense, but he has shown to have starting wide receiver potential.

Philips has the explosiveness to be the third option at wide receiver for Indy. If he is available in this spot, the Colts should look to take the talented wideout out of UCLA.
