1. Baltimore Ravens safety Marcus Williams – 2017 Draft

In the last five years, the best 42nd overall pick has been Marcus Williams and he just recently got a contract with the Baltimore Ravens to prove it.

After playing five years with the New Orleans Saints, Williams joined Baltimore in free agency on a five-year deal worth $70 million.

This is a result of his impressive play that has been present since he stepped into the league. In his rookie season, Williams was selected to the PFWA All-Rookie team.

In five seasons, Williams has played in 76 games and recorded 15 interceptions, forced three fumbles, and made 320 total tackles.

The Colts probably won’t be taking a safety at No. 42 in this year’s Draft because they have Williams’ college teammate, Julian Blackmon, returning from an Achilles injury.

Indianapolis will, however, have plenty of directions they could go once they are officially on the clock. Receiver is the most likely position but there’s no telling if that happens.

What everyone is hoping for most is that the Colts select a player that can immediately contribute and help Indianapolis to compete for a Super Bowl next season.
