First look at Matt Ryan in Colts blue, building chemistry with receivers
The Indianapolis Colts have released footage of Matt Ryan and the team working out as they start their offseason program.
With the Indianapolis Colts starting their offseason program, players are back in the building to begin learning the system, building chemistry, and perfecting their craft.
Most important of all, the Colts being back in the building means the team can release content that will get fans excited. That has already started a couple of days in.
Indy’s social team released a picture and video of one of the biggest offseason acquisitions at work in his new gear. Fans got to see quarterback Matt Ryan rocking some team swag.
Ryan, the new QB1, was a move that generated a lot of excitement for Indianapolis. Many in the football world felt Ryan joining the Colts was a perfect partnership and now the team is at work to make sure it is.
One of the biggest remaining questions for Indy was who would Ryan throw the ball to. After Michael Pittman Jr., there are a lot of question marks in the wide receiver room.
A receiver on the roster that will have to answer some questions is Parris Campbell. Entering the last season of his rookie contract, everyone understands this is a big year for him and he is already at work with Ryan to make sure it’s a good one.
Video of Matt Ryan and Parris Campbell excites Colts fans
Indianapolis didn’t immediately give fans too much content but they did give one video along with the pictures. The video was footage of Ryan connecting with Campbell on a route.
This gave fans a lot of excitement about what’s to come, especially if Parris Campbell can stay healthy. Indy needs more receivers to line up with Pittman to get the most out of Ryan and the offense.
It’s almost a guarantee that a receiver will be drafted but a healthy Campbell for a full season also would be great for everyone. Campbell has flashed potential when on the field and remained committed despite his obstacles.
The footage of him and Matt Ryan is encouraging and hopefully, it’s a sign of a bright future for Ryan, Campbell, and the Colts offense.
