Colts go the easy route and draft Flott
Anyone that has done a mock draft this year for Indianapolis will find that Cordalle Flott will always fall to them in the fourth round. Nine times out of ten, Flott is there on the board to draft.
Does this mean it makes the most sense to draft him if you are Ballard? Maybe.
Ballard has proven time and time again to draft players that no one is really talking about. Flott is one of those guys this draft season that isn’t getting a lot of hype at the moment.
This could be a good thing for the Colts in a few weeks on day three when it’s time to take the cornerback.
Flott would add needed depth at the position and slide right into a special teams role that Isaiah Rodgers likely will relinquish for the starting role in the secondary.
Colts find a stud on day two
If the Colts want to focus early, they will draft Tariq Woolen in the third round. Woolen has been a shut-down corner for the UTSA Roadrunners.
His comparison with others in the draft process is by far one of the better picks in this draft. He ranks 62 according to RAS since 1987.
His size is the key factor here. He’s tall and the right size for a corner that could really bully the outside. Want to talk about speed as well, because he ran a 4.26 40-yard dash.
This is the perfect build for the Colts’ defense and he’d make a lot of sense to draft early in the third round.
