Cincinnati Bengals could ruin Draft for Colts

The Cincinnati Bengals shocked a lot of people last season by making it to the Super Bowl and losing in a competitive game to the Los Angeles Rams.

It appears that the Bengals are willing to do anything to get back to the big game and win it this time. That was evident by their free agency approach of aggressively building up the offensive line, the weakest part of last season’s team.

A big reason why Cincy was able to reach the Super Bowl is because of some young players that were successfully drafted. Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase were both top-five picks that helped the Bengals arrive.

After the successful year, Cincinnati doesn’t have any top-five picks this year. Instead, the Bengals will be drafting towards the end of every round, which will happen to be a few spots ahead of the Colts in the next round.

With the trio of Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd in Cincinnati, Indianapolis doesn’t have to worry about the Bengals taking any receiver prospects, but Indy does have to worry about a couple of other positions.

There’s a good chance that the Bengals select either a corner or offensive linemen that Indianapolis may be interested in. Cincinnati made some moves on the offensive line but there is still room for upgrades and to create depth.

The Bengals also need to improve the cornerback unit so a defensive back selection in the first few rounds is likely. The hope is that they aren’t going after the same prospects that Indianapolis is.
