3 things that need to happen for Colts after trading for Matt Ryan

The Indianapolis Colts have found their quarterback after trading for Matt Ryan but there is still more work to do this offseason.

The biggest obstacle of the Indianapolis Colts’ offseason has been cleared. Indy has traded away Carson Wentz and acquired quarterback Matt Ryan.

Ryan is a veteran quarterback that is still playing at a quality level and should be able to help Indianapolis return to the playoffs next season.

The Colts’ current roster is one of the best teams Ryan has been a part of in the past few seasons. However, that roster can still use some work.

After solving the quarterback question, there are still a few more spots that need a solution. Indy shouldn’t be satisfied because it found a quarterback, instead, the team should be motivated to finish the offseason with some strong acquisitions.

Following the trade for Ryan, the Colts now have just under $16 million in cap space. While that’s not a large number that can be flaunted to sign the remaining free agents, the league has shown us that the cap is flexible and can be manipulated to a team’s benefit.

Indy could perform some cap magic to move money around and free up even more space to address the rest of its needs. As far as those needs, here are 3 things Indianapolis needs to make happen.
