The Indianapolis Colts continue free agency signings by adding cornerback Brandon Facyson and re-signing a pair of young linemen.

When Gus Bradley joined the Indianapolis Colts as defensive coordinator, many believed some of his former players would come and join him. That started on Tuesday when Indy agreed to a one-year deal with cornerback Brandon Facyson.

Facyson has played four seasons in the NFL, all with Gus Bradley as his defensive coordinator. From 2018 to 2020, Facyson played under Bradley with the Los Angeles Chargers.

He joined Bradley on the Las Vegas Raiders last season and now comes with him to Indianapolis. Facyson is a long cornerback at 6-foot-2 and gives the Colts’ secondary some depth.

Last year in Vegas, he had his best season as a pro, starting nine games and recording 13 pass deflections, 55 tackles, and one interception.

Facyson was a part of a trio of deals by Indianapolis on Tuesday night but he was the only new acquisition. The other two deals were re-signing offensive tackle, Matt Pryor, to a one-year deal worth $5.5 million and defensive end, Tyquan Lewis, to a one-year, $3 million deal.

Colts have focused on retaining players

Through Monday and Tuesday, the first two days of the legal tampering period, Indy has only made five deals. Four of those deals were re-signing young players with Facyson being the only new addition to the Colts.

The only other Indianapolis-related free agency news was losing Mark Glowinski to the New York Giants. Overall, things have been relatively quiet for Indy.

That should begin to change Wednesday. With more quarterback dominos expected to fall in the coming days, the Colts will likely acquire their next QB soon— either by trade or free agency.

Also, with free agency officially starting on Wednesday at 4 pm ET, expect things to go into another gear league-wide. Indianapolis’ name should be involved with some big moves soon.
