Colts will have many more options

After those four quarterbacks, Indianapolis will have plenty of more options. However, the further down the free-agent list, the least desirable the quarterbacks get.

Is anyone interested in a Jacoby Brissett reunion? Probably not, but Brissett will be available if Indy is feeling nostalgic and wants to run 2019 back.

There’s also Mitch Trubisky, who for some reason is reportedly a coveted name this offseason. Trubisky is coming off a year as Josh Allen’s backup in Buffalo where he saw very little playing time.

Indy could bring Marcus Mariota back to the AFC South and attempt to revive his career as a starting quarterback or they could opt for one of the guys that have made a career as a transition quarterback, Tyrod Taylor or Ryan Fitzpatrick.

No matter the direction the Colts decide to go, they are unlikely to find their quarterback of the future. That means any acquisition would just be a temporary fix and Indianapolis will be right back in the same position next offseason.
