Carson Wentz could land with Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were able to get Tom Brady for the last two seasons of his illustrious career. In those two years, Tampa went 24-9 and won a Super Bowl.

Now, Brady is retired and the Buccaneers are where they were two offseasons ago, a talented team in search of a quarterback.

There have been reports that Tampa plans to swing big again in the veteran quarterback market and land another star quarterback. While a lot of teams enter the offseason with plans like that, only a few usually pull it off.

The rest then scramble to find the next best thing. If the Bucs whiff on the elite-tier quarterbacks that may be on the move, they could set their sites on a mid-tier player like Carson Wentz.

Wentz is obviously a drop-off from Brady but he may give Tampa Bay a better chance to compete than Kyle Trask or Blaine Gabbert.

With the defense and weapons that the Buccaneers already have in place, they could provide Wentz a great foundation to continue improving as a quarterback.
