Carson Wentz could land with Houston Texans

The Houston Texans are rarely discussed as a team in the market for a quarterback but they are always mentioned when discussing quarterbacks on the move.

That is because it’s become clear that Deshaun Watson will not play for the team again and is likely to be traded. However, Watson has serious legal allegations that are more important than what team he may join next.

As far as the Texans, they have to begin working towards their future and a big part of that is the quarterback spot.

It’s possible that Houston found something in the third-round quarterback, Davis Mills. Mills found his way into the starting lineup during his rookie season and had some impressive outings.

However, it’s unclear if the Texans will want to stick with Mills and see what he’s got or if they plan to find a veteran this offseason.

Wentz is a veteran that offers Houston an immediate starter and an upgrade over the current quarterback situation. This would also keep Wentz in the AFC South, playing the Colts and his former head coach, Doug Pederson, twice a year each.
