Carson Wentz could land with Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are another team that may fill their quarterback void in the draft, veteran market, or both. With Ben Roethlisberger retiring, Pittsburgh has no true successor on the roster.

The Steelers will have a tough time in the draft with their first pick set for No. 20 overall but they will be able to trade up or hope a quarterback falls to them.

Pittsburgh can also go out and trade for a veteran quarterback. With a head coach like Mike Tomlin and the quality Steelers defense, Pittsburgh could be an attractive option for veterans.

The Steelers acquiring Wentz would be similar to Washington doing so. If Pittsburgh is unable to land the young quarterback of its interest, Wentz is a veteran that a good franchise can win games with.

A worst-case scenario, Wentz is a bridge quarterback until the Steelers find or develop a young QB that will be the future of the franchise.

A best-case scenario is Wentz continues his development in Pittsburgh, helps the team win games, and the franchise is able to get more productive years out of him than originally imagined.
