Colts must move on from RB Marlon Mack

‘21 Season Stats: 28 Rushes, 101 rushing yards, 3.6 YPC, 2 Receptions, 8 receiving yards, through 6 games

It’s baffling Marlon Mack is even still on the Colts. The former 1000-yard rusher and lead back for Indy, played in only six games this season. SIX.

At the trade deadline he was one of the most rumored players to be dealt elsewhere to a team in need. Although multiple teams piqued interest, Indy chose to keep Mack.

His opportunities became stretched thin eventually leading Mack to becoming a healthy scratch which kept him inactive from Week 8 until the remainder of the season.

With the emergence of the NFL’s leading rusher in 2021, Jonathan Taylor, Mack’s role on the team has diminished to non-existent. A season ending ACL injury halted Marlon Mack’s 2020 campaign.

It’s no doubt the running back who’s turning 26 years young in March, still has a ton to prove for another team that could use him in their backfield.

Safe to say, looking at the Colts backfield without Marlon Mack that we’re in good hands. Jonathan Taylor is special, and Nyheim Hines provides a great compliment to the young explosive runner.
