Colts must re-sign S George Odum

Signed by Indianapolis as an undrafted free agent in 2018, George Odum has done nothing but improve his game each and every year. After the 2020 season, Odum lead the entire NFL in special team’s tackles earning himself First Team All-Pro.

But his resume doesn’t stop there. In 2021, George Odum had an opportunity for increased playing time with injuries to starting safeties Julian Blackmon (Achillies) and Khari Willis (Calf).

When Khari Willis returned from IR this season, it didn’t take long for Odum to take the snaps for the heat-seeking missile, Andrew Sendejo, who was out for a concussion.

The Colts gave the safety, George Odum, a tag tenured deal last offseason, which he very well may have outplayed.

A thinned out secondary entering the off season potentially losing other defensive backs Xavier Rhodes, TJ Carrie, Andrew Sendejo, and Jahleel Addae. Odum is the best candidate to remain with the team.

As a younger option by far, his on-field play in a game against the Buffalo Bills and superstar Josh Allen, makes his case even stronger.

2021 Season Stats: 55 tackles, 1 Int, 1 FF, 1 FR, 2 Passes defended
